I had a chance to shoot at my all time favorite place to grab a breakfast. as I was peering in after hours a younger man said...."the best hangover cure... and walked on". This left me very intrigued. I gave this place a try and I have to say I am now here about 45 out of the 52 weekends of the year. Its a fantastic family run restaurant that was around for 10 years. (2228 McAllister Avenue Port Coquitlam).

Fera approached me todo a shoot at a small cafe style place and well I could not resist asking to shoot here. They already house a large crowd favorite photo of downtown Vancouver and they gladly had us over for the shoot.

Real Estate Photos

I haven't put up any real estate photos up on the blog ever, so here are a few from a shoot a few days ago.
Great MLS photos give browsers a lower rate of bouncing away from the listing meaning that they will more likely be looking at it thus growing a higher intrest. Remember that even though your house may be prepared and clean, that all will not matter if the photos dont convey that message as they are the first thing that your potential buyers will see.

Well Chad and Corrine, thank you for bringing on board to document your day. Wow what a night, new years eve and a wedding, I can't think of a better day to celebrate and party. Of the very many photos I took i wanated to share a few from the night that I really loved.

The anticipation you could cut with a knife, I remember this night so well, I just loved it. Your family and friends were fantastic, along with the food and dance floor.

Fera - Stardust music video release.

So today is the official release of Fera's Music Video for their song Stardust. (Watch in HD 720p)

I was there of course, to capture the sideline action and to assist with lighting and fans.
The shoot was done with an amazing crew, really pricey gear, a great song and beautiful girls.
I mean what else do you want.

Be sure to subscribe on youtube as these girls put up wicked video clips that Lady Gaga's meat suits couldn't shake a stick at!!

Peter Lemon - The photoshoot

Anyone that has ever worked with Peter Lemon knows it will be a riot. This photoshoot was no exception. He, after having been contacted by hundreds of photographers over the last few days todo the shoot, I was lucky to be chosen by Peter himself.

We went for a Tom Waits black and white shoot which evokes a more raw feeling from the portraits and we shot these over at his family farm where some rumored that the receipe for pilsner was formed.

Smoke over Vancouver

I am just taking a couple photos over Vancouver of the smoke during the riots of the 1994...er...2011 Canuck finals after Boston took the Cup. This is a futher view of the smoke coming from the fires of Vancouver after the game. Group mentality is boss, not all bosses are smart. At the end of the day all the players go back to their million dollar homes and keep making millions. To put it in perspective it takes the average person 40 years to make 2 million dollars. These guys make millions per year... booohoo. They are laughing at you fucking morons ruining the city.

That is some thick smoke, is that the Gaza strip?

Wow updating the blog really gotaway from me as it became something else that I had todo but as promised to myself that I would have regular updates. So to get back to the habit here, I've posted some pics of my trip to Vegas , Disneyland and Venice Beach although there are no pics of Vegas as I forgot that I had the fantastic app Hisptamatic on my iPhone. Its a really fun app to play with that gives you some nice results without having to breakout Photoshop.

Jen and Rob's Wedding...

Jen and Rob are good friends of mine and I had the pleasure of attending their wedding as a guest. Of course I had to bring the camera and take a few shots. Just a simple setup, Canon body and 50mm lens, the light source was ambient which seemed to be plenty off. Enjoy the update.

Outdoor / Indoor shoot

I shot these on a porch on an old falling apart house with intermitent pouring rain and hail. The lights had to be covered with extra umbrellas and held on by strobe elastics. The camera had to be used in a rainsleeve. At one point it was so bad that most people would have called it quits. But we had 24 hours to get these through production and and to the clients desk so the shoot went on. It was a fun few hours though and all the lights and camera are still working. Thanks Canon for your weather sealing!!

Shawna and James

Shawna and James held their wedding at the backyard of her parents home. I have never seen such a beautiful yard in my life. Unfortunately my photos do not depict the colour variety of flower arrangements throughout however, It was definitely a great place to hold a reception with a built in venue to photograph some formals that followed to inspire great candids as the night went on.

I wanted to share some of my favorites from the day.
